Hi
Lovelies, don't you just love this 21st century, the Cyber age, you can just
sit back at home and tour Africa and feel a particular country's culture, their
beliefs, cuisines, and of course their traditional attires without been there. Well today we are all travelling to Kenya; we
just want to give you a little feel of their clothing and jewelries
Most
people agree there is no such thing as ‘national Kenya clothing’. Kenya
consists of over 70 ethnic groups (tribes) who all have different traditional
dress styles.
Kitenge
is a cotton fabric made into colours and design through tie-and-dye and heavy
embroidery. It is commonly worn by a number of Kenya's populations.
The
Kanga (Khanga, Lesso) is another cloth that is in common use in practically
every Kenyan home. The Kanga is a piece of clothing, screen printed with
beautiful sayings in Swahili (or English) and is largely worn by women around
the waist and torso.
Maasai
is a Handmade Jewelry Traditionally worn by Maasai Women/Men of Kenyan. It is created
from seed beads carefully woven together with wire threads and fastened with a wire
hook.
Enjoy your trip to Kenyan.
