How to Spot a Good Tailor

Hi Lovelies, how do you feel when a tailor doesn’t just deliver? I used to have issues with tailors until I had to go into the business myself. I met this very good tailor, her delivery was so much on point, she was referred to me by a friend and all  I did was asked for pictures of her past works, I sent her samples of the material, sent my measurement over the phone,
paid in money to her account and got my clothe delivered to me at home after some days, we never came in contact and believe me her work was clean, I had no single reason to cry, regret or complain.
So we all want a stress free tailor but you must know how to spot one yourself.
Here are few tips for you;
1.       Research: don’t just jump into a tailor's place without proper research. Ask people around about them, checkout works they have done See if they leave loose threads or if the finished product is tidy. Have a fair knowledge of what you want, not necessarily how it is done.
2.       Test Them Over the Phone: well some tailors are sweet talkers they can talk you into having your clothes done by them. Don’t allow a tailor force you. Make sure they listen to you if they are always in a hurry you have to be careful.
3.       Test Run: Giving a tailor a test run is definitely not a bad idea, but make sure you are not giving them one of your most expensive materials to play around with.
4.       When is your tailor satisfied? Some tailor can be lazy, I mean extremely lazy. They can just do what they want and not what you ordered, if your tailor always comes up the slogan “your style is hard”, “this is a better style”, “I could not find the things you need to make your clothe in the market” then you need to start thinking twice. They only care about their satisfaction not yours, my dear I would say ‘pick race’ (run!!!).
5.       Packaging: this is really very important. Nobody wants their clothes returned with chalk over it, nobody wants their clothes rumpled, and nobody wants their clothes dirty. If your tailor doesn’t deliver your clothe properly ironed and clean, hmmmmmmmmm! You’re in for trouble. What if you want to use it immediately? So packaging really matters.
6.       Are they timely: if there is anything that gets people really furious, is when a tailor doesn’t keep to his/her words, nobody wants a tailor who doesn’t deliver when they say they will. If your tailor promises and always fail. Then you have to change your tailor.
7.       Build a Relationship: a good tailor is worth keeping. If you find someone who is good, keep that person, get their numbers, email, pins infact everything you think you can about them. Because you may not be available to take measurement and also you may want to send a picture of the style you want.

Do not forget House of Seraph CONVEYS.
